Josiah's 1st Trip to Kingston

Michael, Katie, and Josiah went on their first road trip adventure this weekend!! We celebrated Michael's Birthday, Josiah's Birthday, Katie's Birthday, and Easter on Saturday at the Davis's. My aunt Ginger and uncle Butch, aunt Martha, and Nana also came to visit from Whitwell. It was a full house with lots of food and fun! Needless to say, Josiah was held the entire time! I can't wait until Eli gets here and there are 2 new babies around! I must say that God has truly blessed the Davis family in so many ways! This Easter season I am so thankful for God's sacrifice and plan to give each of us eternal life through his son. I cannot imagine making that sacrifice. But God loves me and Eli that much! I hope each of you have a fabulous Easter with your families and remember the true meaning behind this wonderful holiday.

3 cm for 3 more weeks?!

Yesterday Jay and I went for my 36 week check-up and guess what! Eli is head down and I am already 3 cm dilated and 70 - 80% effaced! When I first heard this I didn't know how to react.... is this a good thing, bad thing, am I ready for Eli to get here, does this mean I'm going into labor soon, etc... Fortunantly the nurse practitioner knew all these questions were starting to run through my mind, so she spent several minutes going over what this means and what to look for as symptoms of true labor. She also told me that this does not necessarily mean that I will go into labor early, but she followed this with making sure that I had a pediatrician, car seat, and bag packed! :) So keep us in your prayers... I pray Eli is healthy and takes as much time as he needs to make his grand entrance to this world!

Here are some pics of Josiah and the Davis Family! Michael and Katie are doing fabulous and are already changing diapers like a pro! I'm a little partial, but I think he looks like Michael! I can't wait for everyone to meet him in person because these pics don't even do him justice! God has truly blessed this family with such a healthy baby boy!

My Two Favorite VOL Fans!

Last Saturday was a HUGE day in Volunteer basketball! The Tennessee Vols were victorious over the #1 ranked Memphis Tigers! It was one of those games when you hold your breath and pray for the last shot! Jay and Cole were both decked out for the game. Jay came back from Walmart with "rally" headbands and thought he was so cool! :) Unfortunately, he did not wear it when the Vols played Vandy and our #1 ranking was short-lived!

Carrie is tired of seeing the 10cm diagram, so I thought I'd post some pics of my favorite things in Eli's nursery! Many of them actually came from her shop, "Ella Minnow Pea". I am so glad that we now have such a fabulous stationary/gift shop in Kingston!! The timing could not have been better for planning Eli's nursery. Carrie, we are so proud of you! Baby Eli is blessed to have so many friends and family. I can't wait for Eli to get to know each of you as he grows up! I honestly believe it takes a village to raise a child to love God and community. Okay, so here it goes:
