Daugherty's Christmas Party!
Thank you Daugherty's for such a fantastic Christmas Party! I can't believe how awesome and crazy things have become with the kids, but can you say "TONS OF FUN"! Despite the horrindous basketball game, we enjoyed playing Dirty Santa and the Wii. The kids all got little gifts of their own and can you believe there were no meltdowns! We are so blessed with friends and lots of new additions!
Of course Eli LOVED the tissue paper, as well as the new book and highchair toy!

Cousin Dock turns 1!!!
What a FUN-filled weekend in the ATL! Jay's cousin Tripp has a little boy, Dock, who turned one this week. So Jay, Eli and I headed to Atlanta for the weekend and for Dock's 1st Birthday Party. Despite some food poisoning (Tripp's wife Tijen) and stomach issues (Tripp), the weekend was a blast and the boys played so well together! Dock is such a fun, spastic kid like Eli. They played hard and crashed even harder! Dock's party was Christmas themed, complete with a real Santa Claus! Thanks ATL Owings for hosting us this weekend! Can't wait for next year!

Crawling?
SURPRISE! This morning is the first time Eli has actually "army crawled"! It is more scooting than crawling, but it's still exciting. I can't believe I got it on video! This one's posted for you Jay! Wish you were here!

E.Coli's great adventure!
Last night was Eli's first sleepover with Cole at OUR house! I must admit I was a little nervous about entertaining a 14month old, but it went FANTASTIC! Cole was great and we had so much fun. After Cole got here yesterday, Jay and I loaded the boys up and took them to McDonalds. We sat in the little indoor play area and both boys were mesmerized by the older kids and all the video machines. Then we headed home since Eli was fading FAST. Jay took Cole duty and gave his bath while I put Eli to bed. Then Cole and I read a book "Is there really a human race" (great by the way... written by Jamie Lee Curtis) and then Cole went to bed. Both boys slept all night and woke up early for some b-fast and cartoons! We ventured out to Ella Minnow Pea and Buddy's Barbeque, then it was time for Cole to go home. Quick trip, but full of fun! The sleepover would have been perfect were it not for my child's meltdown right before Cole left. I think he's teething? Anyways, I must send a shout out to my wonderful husband! He is such a great dad and uncle, not to mention the best husband ever! :) We can't wait for more sleepovers with Cousin Cole! Eli is wore out and right now is napping like a champ!
(No, the boys did not sleep together in Eli's crib. We just put them in there to see what happened!)

Independence!
Eli's new favorite toy is his fantastic new WALKER! He enjoys the one at Gram's so much that Jay finally talked me into getting one for our house. He LOVES his new independence (even though he just follows me around the house). He is working really hard at crawling, but he will have to settle for this mobility for now.

TAGGED!!!
Ok, so I was tagged by Nikki AND Darby and now I must tag four people to do the same. This one is for fun! Go to your fourth picture folder and then go to the fourth picture in the folder. Write four things about the picture and then tag four other people. It's amazing what you'll find!!!

1. This is the cruiser (AKA "Pair-A-Docs") that Jay and I bought last year from a guy in North Carolina.
2. We LOVE spending time on the water: boating, wakeboarding, being lazy!
3. Last summer, Jay and I took the boat down to Chattanooga for 3 days. It was a 5 hour boat ride through 2 dams and lots of beautiful scenery! We actually slept on the boat as it was docked right outside of the Aquarium. It was a great trip!
4. We sold the cruiser this summer to a guy who lives in Wyoming!
I tag (sorry):
Michelle Garrett
Amy Griffin
Jessica Horne
Kelly Thorne

Visit with the Alabama Davis's!
What a wonderful visit with Mike, Katie, and Josiah!!! This week Mike had a rare week off from his Internal Medicine Residency in Alabama and spent a few days with us in Kingston! Eli was so excited to get to see Cousin Josiah!!! The boys spent Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon together getting reaquainted. They talked ALOT and enjoyed wrestling around on the activity mat whenever the adults let them! Nana and Big Daddy even came down on Wednesday for a short visit. We can't wait til Thanksgiving when we can all get together again!

Watch out! Black cat!
M.I.A.
So, I know it's been a while since I've posted! No excuses! Last weekend Jay and I went MIA and left Eli for the WHOLE weekend! Eli had a great time at Aunt Kellye's and Grams, while Jay and I headed to Reynolds Plantation, Georgia. We stayed with his family in Atlanta on Friday night, then headed over to the Ritz Carlton Lodge where we stayed Saturday. We walked through million-dollar model homes, golfed, spa'ed, and were just generally lazy! The Lodge is located on Lake Oconee and the views were fantastic. I spent Sunday morning just sitting poolside with my latest murder mystery and watched the activity on the lake. We had a wonderful time, but were very ready to head home to our little boy!

Baby Babble!
Who can resist baby babble? Here's some videos of Eli talking it up with his friend Noah and Cousin Josiah! Enjoy!
Eli and Noah! Doesn't it look like a Graco commercial? :)
Eli and Josiah! Just ignore the medical advice Michael is giving Big Daddy in the background! :)

Halloween
How much fun was Halloween this year?! I have loved getting to read about everyone's weekend and see pics of the kids all dressed up. I didn't want anyone to think that I am the "scrooge" of Halloween, but it was very low-key for the Owings Family and can you believe I didn't take a single picture?! On actual Halloween night, Eli was dressed as a cat (cute, little black fleece sleeper w/ feet and ears). We didn't go trick-or-treating, but we did volunteer as a family at the FBC Kingston "Fun, Sweets, and Treats". Jay worked filling drinks for the hundreds of kids, and I worked the cakewalk... with a microphone I might add. When the music stopped I'd say "Now everybody freeze" which I silently added in my head "Now everybody clap your hands... reverse, reverse..."! (Those are the lyrics to a dance song for you ole timers!) Eli hung out with Gram and anyone else who would have him. We had a good time, but were definitely ready to leave after about an hour. I have a new respect for all you teachers out there! Whew! So that was our Halloween in a nutshell! Can't wait until next year! (And yes, I ordered Eli's costume last night!!!!)
