30 weeks, oh my!!!

Friday we are officially 30 weeks!! Oh my goodness! It is hard to believe that Eli will soon be here. I can definitely tell that he is growing! The heartburn has gotten better (Thanks Lacy... the Pepcid Complete works great), but I'm having to eat smaller portions and snacking a lot. Fortunately, raisons, granola bars, yogurt, and banana's seem to be my snacks of choice these days! Eli is starting to stretch often and it is incredible to feel his little feet pushing up on my ribs! Jay can even tell when he's stretching because I get these tight knots on my abdomen that he can feel. It's so funny to me to look down and see myself lopsided when he only stretches on one side! I haven't seen him actually move on my belly, but I can't wait!

Another blogging mommy!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Kellye is finally blogging! Check her and Baby Cole out at hinch-family.blogspot.com .

I heart Miss Megan!!

Jay and I went to Nashville this weekend to finally meet Miss Megan Horne!!! She was born September 16th, and is now 4 months old, 16 lbs, and so much fun! Her daddy (Mark) was Jay's roommate in dental school. We also got to eat dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (my absolute favorite) with the Hornes and the Griffins (more dental school friends). It was great to see the whole clan and yes, there was lots of teeth talk! Since both Jess and Amy work at the dental practices, I'm the only one still learning the lingo!! MOD, occlusals, endo, granulomas, blah, blah, blah!!! We miss all our dental friends and are so glad that we can still get together often. We love you guys!

Preggo Update

This has been a LONG week at the Owings house! I have been suffering from my annual sinus infection/ear infection and WOW!!! Fortunately, there's lots of meds that you can still take even when pregnant. Poor Eli has been hopped up on Sudafed, Tylenol, Chlortrimeton and Robitussin! I missed work all week, and visited good ole Doc McMillin twice. After 2 antibiotics, nasal steroids, and Hydrocodone cough syrup I can finally say that I'm starting to breath again! YEA! FYI - I have discovered the best tissues.... Puffs Plus!! I highly recommend! Jay has been a wonderful nurse and hasn't complained once. How did I get so lucky! :)

We also went to visit Dr. McCullum (baby MD) this week and got an excellent report! Eli is right on target weight-wise with a heartrate around 150. (I'm right on target weight-wise too!) My blood pressure is staying within normal range(104/48) and my iron level is back up. We are officially in our 3rd trimester and the countdown has begun! :)

Christmas Day with the Owings

Owings Family Women
Owings Family Men
Cole LOVES his rainforest jumper NeNe (Nancy) and Big Daddy Sam got him for Christmas!

Christmas day is busy for the Owings family! We start the day by opening presents and eating breakfast at NeNe and Big Daddy's. This year was especially fun with the new addition of Cole! He absolutely loves his rainforest jumper and entertained us all! Next, we rest up for our big dinner at Aunt Judy's with the ENTIRE Owings family! The top of this family tree are the 7 brothers/sisters: Sammie, Tom, Ed, Betty, Jack, Judy, and Lynn and the branches are seemingly endless!!! This family is also growing by leaps and bounds with the addition of Cole and Jackson this year. Can't wait until they're all mobile next year! Watch out!
