Countdown to Football Season Begins!
This year I had 3 teams that I was excited about. I thought, "surely one of them will make it to the BIG game". Especially since 2 were #1 seeds! Not to be! The Titans, Giants, and Colts were each defeated during the playoffs. SAD! So when forced to choose between 2 teams I was unfamiliar with, I chose the Cardinals. Again... SAD! Why the Cards? If you've never read Kurt Warners bio and testimony, please google it. I promise you will be inspired! Anyways, here are some pics of my fav Titans fans! I can't wait for the next football season and all the excitement! We're counting on you Lane!

Snowflakes!
This past Sunday, Southern Baptist Churches across the country celebrated an emphasis on the "Sanctity of Life". So, how appropriate that today I found myself watching it snow with Eli (his first!) and explaining how each snowflake is different. Just like each child. I told Eli that God created them all (snowflakes and children) and is intimately connected with each and every one, even before they fall from the clouds. I know that he is too young to understand, but we must take each opportunity that we get. And one day, maybe when it is snowing again, he WILL understand! This week, please join me in praying for our country and for the preservation of the sanctity of life.

Bug Class Graduation!
Today was Eli's Graduation DAY at "The Little Gym". He has been in the "BUG" class (4 - 10 months) during the fall/winter semester and will start "BIRD" class next week. But before proceeding on to the next level, there is a graduation ceremony! Too funny! Anyways, I can remember when Eli first started and he could barely sit by himself, and now he is crawling all over the room! I haven't been able to post many pics of Eli and his buddies at the Little Gym, so I thought this was a great opportunity!

What a cute poster child for the Little Gym! They should pay me! :)

Bye, bye 2008!
I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've posted! I wish I could say that it's because I've been so busy... but that is only partly true. The real culprit is apathy! I think I'm still recovering from Christmas and just needed some downtime! So to the best of my ability, I'm going to give the "condensed" version of December:

I think Eli got every toy in the toystore that makes NOISE and he LOVES it! Thank you everyone for making this such a wonderful 1st Christmas for my baby boy!

Eli also got several toys to ride on! He will grow into them but he is already such a little dare devil and he loves new challenges!

Eli got to meet cousin Kelly and Randy. He was fascinated by Randy's facial hair! We couldn't get a picture of him looking at the camera but I thought this was too cute!

Likewise, the Owings family has a similar tradition of gathering at Aunt Judy's on Christmas Day! There are so many of us that we have to take a girls and a boys picture! Here are the Owings men!

And the Owings women! Notice that all of the next generation are boys: Jared, Joshua, Jackson, Cole, and Eli!

Jay also turned 31 this December on New Years Eve! We had a few friends over to celebrate and played RockStar until the new year!
Christmas 2008! We went South the River for our first celebration to visit Gram and Grandaddy. We dressed in our finest redneck Christmas garb and loaded up the Enclave!

The Wagner family Christmas! Michael, Katie, and Josiah were not able to make it and were greatly missed! It is such a blessing and a gift for Nana and Big Daddy to have us all over for Christmas (and Thanksgiving and Easter......). I LOVE getting to spend this time with family I don't get to see very often. Thanks!

A TOOTH!!! (FINALLY)
and
CRAWLING
Eli did the "army crawl" for a few weeks before finally getting up on all 3's and crawling! He has his own unique form of crawling that we've named the crab crawl! He's also pulling up on EVERYTHING. Time to baby proof!
