Eli and Reese

Everyone asks me how Eli is doing with Reese. Well, here is a video I took of them this week. Eli loves his baby sister and tries to do anything to make her laugh. I am trying to enjoy this stage as much as possible because I know it will not last forever! Although I am sure that Eli and Reese will always have a special bond, I know that the days of sibling squabbles is coming fast!

Arts and Crafts with the McCormicks!

The past few weeks has been miserably hot in East TN! 90+ degree weather and preschoolers don't go too well together and we all end up with cabin fever and HYPER kids! So my neighber Kelly (aka "new Kelly") and I have been pulling out every arts and crafts project and "adventure" trips we can find. The week of July 4th we made flags, fireworks paint pictures, and red/white/blue cookies! YUM! Then this week it was finger painting and waterhose fun. The pics are backwards, but you'll get the idea! Yea for summertime fun and the McCormicks!

Finger paint or face paint? You decide!

Paint, straws, and preschoolers! HA! Kelly is one brave momma!

Creative Discovery Museum!

Boys LOVED the musical instrument section! I must admit that I did too!

CHOO CHOO!

Last week we went on a quick trip to Chattanooga to meet up with Cousin Joe and Katie! Gram went with us and we had a fun-FILLED 24 hours in Chattanooga! We stayed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo, swam, fed the Koi fish, ate breakfast with Nana and Big Daddy, rode the trolley, and went to the Creative Discovery Museum. Whew!

Eli and his animals!

This one was too funny not to share!

Myrtle Beach 2010

Enjoy these pics from our Myrtle Beach family vacation!
Eli's 1st encouter with the ocean!
Reese hanging out poolside! She spent most of her time asleep in her tent or stroller. Princess did not like the sand and I don't blame her!
The Carribean Resort had a really neat waterpark onsite with a shallow preschool play area that included a submarine to play on and water squirting everywhere!
When we weren't at the pool, we were usually napping or playing with our animals! Eli is really into pretend play right now and his animals, dinosaurs, and sea creatures are his favorites!
Momma and her babies at Bubba's Love Shak! Great place to go eat with kiddo's!
Reese relaxing on the couch in her shark towel after some time in the pool!
One day we took Eli and Reese to Alligator Adventure! It was GREAT but I really hope Myrtle Beach never floods. I bet they had at least 200 alligators on 15 acres! INSANE!
Eli and the big alligators!
Here's Eli riding a Triceratops at Broadway at the Beach!

Watch out Michael Phelps!

We recently returned from a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. Eli absolutely LOVED the pool and did great in his life jacket. Reese was not such a fan... but I think it was because of the noise and splashing of all the kids and not because of the water. She does really well in our neighborhood pool with less kids.

Let's go to "Zoom"

We LOVE the zoo! It give Eli the freedom to run around from exhibit to exhibit and absolutely wears him out! (I'm talking 3 hour nap each time we go!) So Saturday we started out early and headed to the "zoom". The neatest thing was watching Eli give "baby George" the chimp high fives through the glass and playing Peekaboo! Jay and I both just stood there and watched for about 20 minutes before we thought to get out the camera. Baby #2 has just thrown me for a loop! :) Anyways, here some pics of Eli and Jay at the zoo. Reesie and I were there, but just mainly behind the camera!

New Pics!

Here are some updated pics of Reesie and Eli! Reesie is at the smile and gurgle stage! She loves to have people talk to her and she is trying to mimic sounds and faces. She is sleeping 8 - 10 hours consistently and is a very happy, healthy baby. Eli went through a little rough patch once the new of baby Reese wore off, but we're back to our fun-loving self now. I absolutely LOVE my kids and being able to stay home with them. They wear me out!!! But I wouldn't change it for the world.

The power was out the other night for 4 hours, so this is how Eli entertained himself! :) Luckily it came back on before Reesie woke for her middle of the night feeding or I would have had this thing on my head changing her diaper! :)

Eli's 2!!!

Eli's 2!!! Oh, how time flies! We had a fun filled Birthday weekend so you'll find 3 more posts with lots of pics and videos. They may be out of order, but you can figure it out! I just could not narrow down the pics from The Little Gym because the party was AWESOME!

Here are some things that Eli can do:

He can count to 12 all on his own!

He knows all his basic colors and his favorite is BLUE!

His favorite songs are "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", "Old McDonald", and "The Wheels on the Bus"!

He loves to RUN, JUMP, and GALLOP!

He is talking nonstop and even putting together short sentences! My favorite is "Luv you Momma" and my least favorite is "No like it Momma".

He is sleeping in a BIG boy bed!

Eli's 2nd Birthday PARTY!!

The GRAND finale of Eli's BDay was a party for him and all his buddies at The Little Gym in Knoxville. Eli had an awesome time and was so excited to see all his favorite people in one place! The kids played with balls and bubbles, jumped on the giant air mat, sang "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" under the parachute, and explored all the equipment around the gym. It was "organized chaos" for an hour, then cupcake and present time! What a wonderful ending to a great 2nd Birthday!!!
